Well, conveniently, we're currently talking about changing spec 1.1.
Should the new spec require this workaround only for v4, only for v<=4?
This makes things kind of ugly for czech, my spec-tester, because I'll
need to write different tests for different versions. But I agree with
you that it makes sense to be able to do this. In fact, I would argue
for only v4 to be special, so that v3 games could write to multiple
files.
