What kind of printing are you planning to do?
Most feelies are done by black-and-white or color copying (yes, the same as you might do at Kinko's). It is also possible to do digital offset printing, if we print a large enough batch at once: this means higher quality, but requires us to wait until we have a number of orders (probably 25 or 50) before doing fulfillment. What if I want to include feelies that aren't on paper?
You are encouraged to contact us anyway. One approach would be for you to create the feelies yourself and to mail us a box. Other options include online ordering in batches. We are aware of places to order a large number of customized items. Again, see the detailed price list. We enjoy working with non-paper items and are willing to be flexible to a certain extent. If you have any ideas, be sure to contact us.

What if I want to include feelies that involve a lot of labor?
If one or more of your feelies requires more hand-assembly than we can reasonably handle, or if a certain item must be made in a specific way (like a hand-drawn sketch), we ask that you prepare those feelies yourself, then mail them to us for distribution. In some cases, we will also provide you with a percentage of the feelie package's production budget as a compensation.

What if I need help designing my feelies?
We do not offer design and layout services, but we can point you in the direction of public-spirited members of the IF community who would be willing to help you. Their services may have a fee attached, at their discretion.

How much will a feelie packet cost the player?
The cost of the packet is determined by several factors, including cost of materials and productions, but it does not include any amount of profit for feelies.org or its volunteers. A shipping and handling fee is also added to the completed order, for postage and the cost of accepting PayPal payments.

Does the service cost me anything?
There is a nominal set-up fee of $5/game to get yourself registered with us and your images loaded onto our webspace. This is only intended to cover webhosting costs and to discourage casual abuses of our system.

Can I add a shareware fee to the price of my feelie packet?
You may, although the added cost could cause some customers to pass over your product. In addition, because of the extra handling and accounting this requires of us, we will charge you a fee of 10% for whatever shareware price we collect.

How does pre-ordering work?
If your packet is something that needs to be done in batches, because you're using special printing or ordering supplies that come in quantity, we will collect orders until we have the required number, and then print.

Is there a way to circumvent the pre-ordering thing?
Yes -- if you're willing to pay the up-front cost for a run of the feelies, they can be produced then distributed until they are gone, shipping to players immediately. We will then return to you whatever we receive from the purchase of those packets, minus the shipping and handling fee. Unfortunately, we don't have the financial resources to take that risk on your behalf.

Are there any restrictions on what feelies you will distribute?
We reserve the right to approve or disapprove contents of feelie packets for any reason.
